OPEN WORKSHOPS

Open Workshops are open. Open to anyone and everyone with an interest in writing new opera. Whether you are embarking on full-length work, or simply experimenting with songs and short forms, you can start at an OperaGenesis open workshop. Inspirational and practical, they are hosted by leading practitioners in all aspects of contemporary opera. Areas covered include writing for the human voice, dramatic structure, the role of music in drama and the development of text and music.
